88mm Compressor wheel exducer 7 splitter-blade STC Design -78lbs/min
This is the GT3588R Ball-bearing Interceptor ( based on the GT3582R Garrett Ball-bearing CHRA & Cover, aka. "Supercore".). The turbine wheel and cartridge are shared with the N111 68mm turbine wheel. This means that all the GT35R-based turbine housings will fit with this cartridge, and can be a direct replacement to the GT35R. We've tested this back-to-back against the GTX3582R and found it making over 20whp more than the GTX3582R at the same boost pressure, but with much better transient response and midrange power than with the GTX3582R. The the compressor wheel exducer of this turbo is an amazing 88mm with a 3mm extended tip backwall compared to the GTX3582R's 62.2mm exducer, even though the compressor is slightly smaller than that of the GTX equivalent. This means better conversion of air to the backwall giving better responsiveness in between gears which is perfect for the street monster or Time Attack King where responsiveness is needed most out of a larger-mid-framed turbocharger.
This is sold as a cartridge and cover combination and can receive the new STC Investment cast turbine housing. (limited initial offering).
The Interceptor GT3588R ball-bearing uses the same 14mm water fittings that are used on the GT(X)25R-GT(X)35R steel dual ball-bearing cartridge, and requires the use of a restrictor (.030") and water fittings. *
This particular turbocharger is designed best for engine applications that generally plan to run efficiency ranges from 15psi-40psi that plan to run from 450whp-740whp in the standard T04S compressor cover,

All Ball-bearing turbos use required water ports in order to function properly, and share the same oil feed and fitting size as the Garrett GT and GTX series

Oil Feed Fitting size = 7/16
