STC doing Subarus??!?!

Yes. After much debate about the subject, and increasing demand for something more for the Subaru Community,  STC is introducing two stock "appearing" turbochargers for the Subaru WRX/STI from the 2004-2011 production years.  The "GT3000R" and "GT2000R" (temporary names) have finished testing and fitment trials and are ready for the market.  These turbochargers are designed for stock location fitment, with minimal adjustments to vaccum / water hoses fitment, so that you get a great bolt-on upgrade from the VF39 & VF48 IHI turbochargers that can make anywhere from 350AWHP to 540AWHP without the worry about high-boost compressor surge or turbine exhaust energy restrictions.

Best of all, these turbos use genuine Garrett GT-R Ballistic Dual Ball-bearing cartridges with the durability, reliability, and utility you only expect from Garrett.  Turbochargers can be sold with or without supplement water line / oil feed kit.

Giovanni and his Garage Life 13B-REW Ball-Bearing Terminator build

Congratulations to Lucky7Racing.net,owner Giovanni and his Bridgeported 13B-REW build that was created using our Terminator 67mm ball-bearing turbo in a T4 divided 1.15A/R Turbine Housing. He made a wonderful and flat 552rwhp and 431ft/lbs @2.0Bar with E78 octae fuel and flex-fuel sensor.  Giovanni is looking to making more with an even larger turbocharger after his photoshoot with DSPORT magazine in the near future. Way to go Giovanni!!

Oil Restrictors and Regulators for STC & Garrett are officially released

After many discussions and debate topics surrounding whether or not to use "restrictors" on journal bearing turbochargers was a necessity, we have found that the best way to ensure that clients are using the correct oil feed restrictors when they are deemed necessary when using our turbochargers is to not go anywhere else but here at STC!  That way each client can get the recommended oil feed fittings and their descriptions at a click of a buttion without confusion or ambiguity.

Have a turbocharger that is not STC or Garrett, such as a Turbonetics, Borg-Warner or Precision Turbo? We have not left you out.  If you know the proper feed fitting line size and pitch  (i.e. 1/8NPT, 1/4BSPT, or other size) if you do not see it in our lineup of products, please don't hesitate to Contact Us to see if we have recommendations for the turbocharger and engine application that you may have.

STC Silver Surfer & Hunter T04B Compressor cover Price increase

Due to the increasingly lower availability of proper T04B compressor covers, STC is forced to obtain a difference in source for quality T04b compressor covers for both the Silver Surfer and for the Hunter turbochargers in both journal bearing and ball-bearing CHRAs.  Effective January 1, 2016,  Silver surfer prices will increase by 7%, while Hunter series turbochargers will add $65 for the T04B Compressor cover as an option upgrade.    

This is your last chance to get a great Surfer or Hunter at the original price. After current stock runs out, the price increase will be in effect.

Discontinuation of Borg - Warner Large Framed Turbochargers

Due to both the continual flooring of unit prices from increased number of vendors vying for competition and decreased demand of the mid-sized and large framed line, STC will no longer sell or modify the aftermarket line of Borg-Warner turbochargers.  This includes the SX200-SXE400 series in both cast wheel and billet wheel lines.  For those that still have pending orders, rest assured that those orders will be completed, but will not take any new orders for products.  It's time to move on.

Introducing STC's "A.T.O.M" VF39 For Subaru 2.5 Litre STI 2004-2014, & 2.0 Litre WRX 2002-2007

This year we were able to test out and create a new subaru stock location turbocharger for those that want a simple smaller scale upgrade over the VF39 as a replacement, without appearing to look as though it came from the "aftermarket".

This turbocharger was made for the 2.0 Litre and 2.5 Litre Subaru STI engines from 2004-2014, WRX 2002-2007 (and WRX 2008-2014 with slight modification).

The Aggressive Torque Omega Monster (ATOM) is the quintessential Torque Monster that takes the best at what the Subaru is best at making; and takes it to another level.

Garrett CHRA Price Increase

Unfortunately, like with everything new that comes out, there's a cost to new technology develoipment.  Today, Garrett announced a 10% increase in costs for their GT and conversion ball-bearing CHRAs and supplemental equipment, (which could mean a $100 difference), effective 3.1.2017!! Sadly, that also means that these costs go to the consumer. We'll try to absorb as much of the pain as we can, but over the next few days and weeks, you'll see some changes in prices of our  TR3030R, GT3588R Interceptor R, Banshee, Rogue, & A.T.O.M. 

If you do see something that is on the site and order at the time before we can effectively change it, we may contact you to let you know that a price change has come into effect for that product, and how much that amount may have changed.  Please ensure that your contact information is accurate so that we may contact you for further options.

We are really sorry about this and we'll try to absorb as much as we can to keep prices stable. Right now we're crushed that we have to put this online. But if there are any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us first before you order.

Speed Trapp Consulting & TD-Racing Team up!

After having formed a great relationship over the years, STC and TD Racing have teamed up to offer a new series of turbine housings in order to enhance the utility and options of the Garrett-STC Journal Bearing and ball-bearing non-GT(X) Super Core line.

We introduce to you, the V-band inlet / V-band outlet cast turbine wheel in .82A/R for the Reaper, Terminator and Predator series for 2017!

These cast-steel/iron alloy housings contain over 20% Nickel to help retain high material integrity and durability even with the most abusive high –heat energy environments, while at the same time keep costs affordable.

Both the Inlet and outlet portions of the turbine housing contain provisions for supplementary parts that are already part of the Garrett line:

*Turbine inlet & outlet share the same dimensions and weld flanges/clamps as with the TiAL and STC Light-weight steel Investment cast housings.  No need to swap out to proprietary flanges and clamps like with other companies

*CHRA turbine brackets and hardware are the same as the standard T31 4 bolt and T4 v-band turbine housings. No special TiAL-style brackets or bolts are required. You can take your existing Garrett Journal Bearing turbine brackets and fit them to the new housing.

*These turbine housings meet and even exceed the same IS09001/2 material and burst test standards as the Garrett Line of turbine housings

*These turbine housings are only offered as part of our new turbocharger sales and will not be sold as separate items. However, if you’ve had a replacement or conversion with us, we will gladly offer this turbine housing for an additional charge.

We’re starting off with the .82A/R turbine housings that work with the 74mm exhaust wheel for now, as that is currently the highest demand, stay tuned for updates as to when exactly the other A/R sizes for the other turbine wheels in our line are available.
